Hoku Pa'a Hale Pono 
NorthStar is fully committed to supporting the community service efforts of others wherever possible. However, in order to better focus our own contribution, we are in the process of establishing our own company-sponsored private operating foundation known as Hoku Pa’a Hale Pono, which, in the Hawaiian language, roughly translates to “North Star House of Goodness/Hope”.
Hoku Pa’a Hale Pono is a non-profit organization being built on the belief that no child in Hawaii should be without food or suitable shelter. It is being founded in order to eventually establish the only privately sponsored children’s orphanage in the State of Hawaii to help the many “lost children” in Hawaii “find their way home”.
Hoku Pa’a has been founded to address the serious problem of homeless children in Hawaii, a dilemma that is often ignored or left to the authorities, so that all children in Hawaii are given a chance to live, learn and grow in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.
